Annual Close Up Trip to Washington, D.C. |
Close Up is a program which brings high school students from all over the country to Washington, D.C. in order to learn more about the government and the city.Students participate in lively lectures and debates about current and past political topics. Tours are arranged for the students; these include excursions to monuments, museums, and other areas of historical interest. A highlight of the trip is the "Capitol Hill Day," whereby the students are able to meet with senators and representatives, as well as tour the U.S. Capitol.
